Salim Siddiqui is an Indian actor whose work spans feature films, streaming series, television, commercials, theatre and international productions. Over the years, he has built a reputation for portraying characters that feel lived-in, layered and unmistakably human - whether they occupy positions of power, exist on the fringes of society, or quietly carry the emotional weight of a story.

From politicians, police officers and government officials to gangsters, prisoners, doctors, fathers, shopkeepers and everyday working men, Salim's performances are united by a commitment to authenticity. His approach to acting is rooted in observation, empathy and the belief that every character - regardless of screen time - deserves a truthful inner life.

His body of work reflects an unusual range. Audiences have seen him as the feared gangster-politician Ateef Ahmed in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the authoritative inmate leader Lambardar in Mirzapur, a corrupt office bearer in Scam 2003, a manipulative underworld figure in Despatch, a police chief in Shekhar Home, a stubborn constable in 12th Fail, and a host of memorable characters across film, streaming and television. Alongside these intense and morally complex roles, he has also portrayed warm-hearted fathers, eccentric husbands, community figures and light-hearted comedic characters, demonstrating a versatility that allows him to move effortlessly between drama, crime, thriller, satire and comedy.

Over the course of his career, Salim has appeared in feature films, web series, short films, television commercials and an international production, collaborating with acclaimed filmmakers, production houses and platforms across the industry. His screen credits include projects associated with Jio Studios, Excel Entertainment, Vinod Chopra Films, Applause Entertainment, BBC Studios, Disney+ Hotstar, Prime Video, Netflix, Sony LIV and others.

Born and raised in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Salim brings a deep familiarity with North Indian cultures, dialects and lived experiences to his performances. Fluent in Hindi, Urdu, English and Arabic, with working knowledge of Punjabi and Haryanvi, and currently learning Tamil, he is equally comfortable performing across linguistic and cultural settings. His command of regional dialects from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar has made him a sought-after performer for stories rooted in the Hindi heartland.

His foundation as an actor was shaped through extensive theatre and performance training. Salim trained with Asmita Theatre Group and Trust Theatre Group, while further developing his craft through workshops and certifications with institutions and mentors including NSD, FTII, Barry John, Hemant Kher and BhavaRas Studio under Siddharth Sharma. These experiences continue to inform a performance style that is grounded, instinctive and deeply character-driven.

Today, with credits spanning 17 web series, 6 feature films, multiple short films, commercial campaigns and an international film project, Salim continues to seek stories that challenge expectations and explore the complexity of human behaviour. Whether portraying authority, vulnerability, menace, humour or compassion, his focus remains the same: to disappear into the character and serve the story with honesty.
